Introducing Grey Wool Tartan
There's something so deliciously autumnal about a tartan fabric. When I found this week's Grey Wool Tartan it reminded me of a sort of academic/uniform kind of vibe, which is why I decided to make a sleeveless Luna as a sample.
The fabric itself is lightweight and has a soft drape so it also makes really soft shapes and silhouettes. The composition is 100% wool viscose which makes the tartan super soft and not at all itchy. The colours are a dark almost charcoal grey with red, white, yellow and green accents creating a classic tartan.
I sourced this from an Italian factory through one of my deadstock suppliers so the fabric I have is all there is, once she's gone she's gone! I'll have enough to make 5 more pieces in this fabric depending on the styles ordered.
