Hi hi,

I'm going to dive straight in - I know that one of the biggest hurdles to ordering a made to order piece is "what size am I going to order?" and "Is that going to fit me?". With some measurements you can be assured that the dress I make for you is going to fit exactly as you want it. Today's email is about how to measure for a Luna dress and the importance of them when ordering a custom piece.

Let's start with some details from me

I’m Faith and my bust measurements is 84cm and I am 172 cm in height.

How I wear my Luna dress - I like to wear the small even though I could fit into the XS. But thats because I love it oversized and baggy.

These measurements are flat measurements of the garment - not body measurements.

--------------------------------

Measurement 1 - The bust measurement

Take your measuring tape (or string and a ruler) and measure around the fullest part of your bust. Making sure it's nice and straight around the back.

To find your size take your bust measurement and then add at least 10-15cm. I then compare it to the size chart and find the right size. We can easily accommodate in between sizing if you think you want somewhere in the middle of two sizes, Just add it to the notes on the Luna dress product page in the "Any other info?" text box - as seen below.
---------------------------------

Measurement 2 - Waist to hem

We are all different heights and all have different style preferences. This measurement allows you to customise the skirt length so it's exactly how you like it.

Measure from your waist to where you want the dress to finish. This could be 30cm for a mini length or 110cm for maxi length.

Our standard measurement is 81cm from waist to hem if you want to check and see what that looks like on you.

Mini length in cove check (now sold out) and the maxi length in Brighton stripe.
If you pick extra length or to remove length then an text box will appear on the order page where you can write your waist to hem measurement or any notes of the skirt length.

------------------------------------

Extra considerations...

The two previous measurements are the most crucial however there are still more measurements to be considered:

- Waist - I haven't mentioned waist because the waist and bust are the same and if we use the bust measurement we know that it will fit your waist. However... we can taper the waist a little if you wanted a slightly more fitted silhouette - add a note to your order if you want this customisation.

- Hips - There is soooo much fabric in the skirt, a medium for example has 2 meters :) this means that I rarely worry about this measurement.

- Sleeve lengths - Do you have long/short arms? My neck to wrist measurement is 61cm. Use this to compare your own and how they look on my body. You can also see the sleeve lengths on the size chart however I find it hard to know where to measure from so I find the neck to cuff measurement useful. Add a note to your order if you want to customise your sleeve lengths.

- Shoulder to waist - Do you have a long or short torso? This measurement determines where the waist line sits. You can change this measurements for style reasons too... drop or raise the waist as you see fit. As you probably know by know, just add it to the notes on your order!

You can now see a gallery of new and past Luna dresses and their customisations on the Luna dress product page - scroll to the bottom to see the gallery and search for the customisation or fabric you want to see.

So much info!!! If you are reading this... thanks for getting so far. I'm on the other end of and emails or on whatsapp so please message me if you wanna chat about ANYTHING. I love it.

Have a great week,

Faith xx
