Salary: depending on experience - can be discussed

Hours:Monday and Tuesday, with potential for Wednesday 10-5pm

Start date: Immediately 

Studio based in Lewes

Duties

Main responsibility is to cut fabric to accurate measurements required for each order 

Fabric cutting from patterns

Ensuring work areas and fabrics are tidied away and clear 

Checking fabric for faults

Once garment patterns are cut for seamstresses quality checking 

Must be numerate 

Reaching daily targets of minimum of 10 pieces a day

Eye for detail as orders can have customisations 

Previous cutting experience cutting garments or transferable work experience 

Knowledge of garment patterns would be advantageous 

Overseeing stock levels (buttons, labels, elastic, fabric pens) and reporting to Operations Manager for ordering 

Assign orders to out of house seamstresses and report to Operations Manager for invoicing

Duties

Working from home

To collect orders from our Lewes studio 

Putting together the fabric pieces, with knowledge of notches and dress styles

Quality checking fabrics 

Eye for detail and ensuring accuracy 

Knowledge of fitting garments, alterations, repairs and resizing.

Strong experience in sewing and finishing pieces e.g. attaching buttons and brand labels etc.
