Introducing Stripe Denim

Denim can be a tricky fabric to source, one reason is a lot of denims will have synthetic materials in the weave so it has some stretch to it. The other trouble with denim is that in order to weave and process the cotton and dyes a lot of water is needed. This is why I’ll never buy new and always buy deadstock denim.

100% cotton deadstock (elastic = plastic), Stripe Denim is a dream. One of my favourite things about denim is the way that it holds structure and shape.

I made two samples in this fabric, the first was a Molly Dress for a customer with thicker side ties. I love the impact such a small change can have, and the denim in this style creates some really lovely lines and shapes.

The second sample I made is a take on a Hybrid Luna half in Slubby Denim and half in Stripe Denim - but is it a dress or is it a coat? Who knows!! I put a zipper down the front and it’s created a really classic silhouette with a modern twist to it. Perfect for all sorts of seasonal layering.

Denim is one of the most worn fabrics, and for good reasons; it’s durable, goes with everything and is great for all seasons. It’s lightweight and brilliant for the transitional months of the year. I personally love the denim pinafore look - think sleeveless Luna Dress- as you can layer this with shirts and jumpers so beautifully.

This fabric will be launching on the website on 29/10/25 at 9:30 GMT for email subscribers and at 10 GMT for everyone else, but if you have the October Fabric Catalogue then you don’t have to wait to order! Just send me an email, a dm on Instagram or a text on WhatsApp :)
